A1 is just a bit slower than AS, but is still considered a relatively fast-burning, single-base propellant. Identifier: light-green flakes. A1 offers a balance between speed and energy, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including 1-1/8-ounce 12-gauge target loads and light high-velocity field loads. A1 will push 1-1/8 oz 12-gauge loads at higher velocities and reduced pressures compared to AS. A1 propellant is in a similar burn-speed range to VihtaVuori N330, Unique, Green Dot, and Universal.
